All prospective adopters will be vetted prior to adoption. No dog from Lea Valley Dog Rescue will be bred from. All Adult dogs are neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to being rehomed. Puppies are vaccinated prior to being rehomed. We do not have kennels, so all the dogs in our care are placed within family foster homes. We match dogs to their fosterers to ensure that both parties’ needs are met and we need a range of homes to fulfill the needs of the dogs- so please apply if you would like to foster, no matter what your home life may be. We have many vet bills to pay as all of our dogs are neutered if they are old enough, have a health check, vaccinated, chipped and flea’d and wormed- and this is just for the healthy ones. We aim to process adoptions as quickly as possible. If you have filled in an enquiry for but have not heard within 2 weeks, please deem that you have not been successful in this instance. In 2007 we (Yasmina, alongside a very small handful of fosterers) began to work alongside some Romanian rescuers after becoming aware of the inhumane treatment of the dogs on the streets and so-called public shelters.
